The Flynn Ranch
of Townsend, Montana is a 5th generation "Working
Ranch", steeped in the tradition of the old West yet progressive and innovative
so to remain economically viable in the fast-paced times of space travel and the
internet. Tuition in ranch skills by present day owner Ted Flynn is
tailored to the individual, with only four guests booked each week. 'Quarters'
are in the main guesthouse, built in 1910 but now completely modernised and with
private bathrooms. After a hearty breakfast the day's work begins and packed
lunches are taken picnic fashion near a mountain stream. Dinner can be back at
the ranch-house or a barbecue at one of the mountain cabins.
